—OFFICIAL RULES—
A. DONOR
1. Vehicle donated by Solon Paul of Hampton, VA. Mr. Paul is the original and only owner of the 1961 Thunderbird.
B. PRIZE
1. 1961 Ford Thunderbird with an estimated retail value of $30,160 excluding sales tax, title, vehicle license, registration, and normal fees associated with the purchase of a used vehicle. Estimated retail value determined by NADA price guide for vehicles with a high retail value. The Thunderbird was purchased in 1961 by the original owner and donor of the vehicle. The Thunderbird was garage kept and is in excellent condition.
The prize will be awarded through one random drawing from qualifying raffle ticket stubs at the Youth Challenge Men's Home (332 34th Street Newport News, VA 23434), which will take place on December 31, 2011, with the vehicle awarded through a live drawing.
2. WINNING CHANCES. A maximum of 1,500 tickets will be sold. Each ticket represents one chance to win. You may enter as many times as you like. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible tickets sold. If 1,000 tickets are sold, your chance of winning is 1 in 1,000.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that less than 500 or less tickets are sold, all ticket purchasers will be refunded the full amount of money paid for their tickets. In the event
that the winner does not qualify or respond to his or her winner notification within the time allotment (seven days), an alternate will be drawn from all entries and alerted by mail or phone.
C. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Raffle tickets are sold by Youth Challenge of Hampton Roads, Inc and its representatives. Proceeds received by Youth Challenge are made payable to Youth Challenge and deposited into a separate account until the last ticket sale date.
2. Tickets are $50.00 per raffle ticket.
3. There is no limit to the number of tickets that an individual can purchase.
4. For a copy of rules by mail, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

5. The entire raffle ticket and stub must be completed legibly in print.
6. Raffle is void where prohibited.
D. ELIGIBILITY
1. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PURCHASE AND WIN? Each entrant, by entering the Raffle, agrees to abide by all of the rules and conditions contained herein, as well as all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and further agrees to release Youth Challenge and its directors, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability with respect to all aspects of the raffle including, but not limited to, the selection process. The Raffle is subject to all applicable law and is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by applicable law. Persons entering the raffle are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in any way relating to their entry or entries whether based upon their place of residence or otherwise.
2. Raffle ticket purchasers must be at least 18 years of age, and make a contribution of
$50.00 per ticket. Purchasers release their names to the fundraiser and confirm that they can provide valid identification. Youth Challenge reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the validity of the entries. Also, as noted on the ticket, by its purchase, the ticket purchaser agrees to the live telecast of his or her name during and after the live drawing and releases the Youth Challenge, all sponsors and any other parties associated with Youth Challenge and the raffle harmless against any liability, loss, or damage (including attorney’s fees and costs) caused by or arising from the telecast/broadcast of their name or appearance on any materials or media promotions associated with the raffle.
3. WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE? Employees of Youth Challenge of Hampton Roads,Inc., their immediate family members, members of the Board of Directors and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in the Raffle.
4. All entries become the property of Youth Challenge, and will not be returned.
E. GENERAL RULES
1. The raffle ticket sales begin on 2/11/2011 and end on October 1, 2011. All ticket stubs, unsold tickets, and checks made payable to Youth Challenge of Hampton Roads are to be returned by the date of the above mentioned even.
2. Selection of the winner will be by a random drawing conducted by the donor of the car at the Youth Challenge Men's Home October 1, 2011.
3. Winner is responsible for reporting and paying property taxes, tariffs, fees in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws with respect to the prize received.
4. Winner is responsible for pick-up and delivery of the vehicle at the direction of Youth Challenge and any costs associated with pick-up and delivery.
5. Youth Challenge reserves the right to interpret and/or modify contest rules at any time in its sole discretion. All decisions made are final.
6. The prize is not transferable, may not be substituted for any reason, and may not be
exchanged for cash equivalency.
7. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Youth Challenge to use the winner’s name and/or likeness for promotional purposes (broadcast, telecast, or written material) without additional compensation, except where prohibited.
8. Winner, by accepting the prize, releases and discharges the donors and Youth Challenge, and agents for the donors and Youth Challenge, from any and all liability arising out of or in connection with this contest or the use of the prize.
9. THE VEHICLE IS BEING TRANSFERRED “AS IS,” AND YOUTH CHALLENGE AND DONORS GIVE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
